If you are not familiar with Missouri Foxtrotters, then you're missing out on one of the best breeds to own, ride or breed.  They are more gentle than any other gaited breed, prettier to look at, smoother to ride and very easy to train.  They do not require special shoes or long shanked bits.  Missouri Foxtrotters come in all colors and sizes from pony size to 16 hands.  Their natural gait is a foxtrot ( a broken diag. trot) which means they travel square (no pace) with three feet on the ground at all times.  The feel in the saddle is a slight forward/backward motion - no hard bouncing up and down motion.  Riders sit down in the saddle - no posting required.  You can ride a Foxtrotter for hours at a time, get off and still feel like you can walk.  Many Foxtrotters are regularly competing and winning in NATRC rides.  Those rides consist of a controlled speed of about 4 miles per hour (Novice division) over approximately 28 miles the first day and approximately 24 miles the second day.  NATRC is a partnership between horse and rider.
End of the Trail Foxtrotter Ranch has been in operation for over 15 years.  We breed and sell the type of Foxtrotter we would like to ride and have sold over 30 horses to satisfied owners.
